Pinch harmonic New
A pure technical exercise, no chord or scale involved: on the low E string, pick a note while letting the right-hand thumb graze the string right after the pick, to bring out a sharp, metallic tone typical of rock/metal.
Tips
Thumb position along the string changes the result: shift the attack point by a few centimetres on each try until you find the spot where the harmonic rings out loudest and clearest.
