Strumming — syncopated with palm mute New
A more syncopated version of the rock pattern, over the same Em-C-G-D progression, meant to be played with light palm muting on the downstrokes: the muted/open contrast reinforces the rhythm.
Tips
Apply the palm mute only on downstrokes, never on upstrokes: that consistent contrast is what gives the pattern its rhythmic edge.
Strumming pattern
D = downstroke, U = upstroke, — = the arm keeps moving without touching the strings.
