Left-hand muting New
A pure technical exercise, no chord or scale involved: rest the left-hand fingers on the strings without pressing down to the fretboard, then strum: the sound should be completely muted, with no note ringing out.
Tips
Unlike palm muting (right hand near the bridge), here only the light contact of the left-hand fingers cuts the sound: keep your picking hand normal to isolate the technique properly.
