Improvisation — pop in C, major scale New
The same progression as "Improvisation — pop in C, relative scale" (C-G-Am-Em), but this time with the C major scale itself rather than its relative minor: seven notes instead of five, with a direct relationship to the key's own C root.
Tips
Compare both approaches on the same grid: the major scale offers two extra notes (more color, but also more dissonant notes to place carefully), while the relative pentatonic stays a safer bet for the ear.
