Improvisation — blues in E, root note only New

Level 1 blues ~70 BPM

The very first step of E blues improvisation, isolated as its own sheet: playing only the E root note in rhythm over the entire E7-A7-B7 grid, no other notes at all. Before adding neighbouring notes (full sheet available separately), first learn to feel where the root lands on each chord change.

Tips

Don't try to "play a melody" yet: the only goal is staying exactly locked in with the grid while playing nothing but E, including through the A7 and B7 bars.
